Greenhead Lobster is one of the largest single receivers of lobsters in the state of Maine. We are located in Stonington, on the rugged waters of Penobscot Bay, which creates the prime breeding grounds for the heartiest lobsters. We purchase lobsters daily from independent lobstermen, and take the utmost care in the unloading and handling processes. Buying your lobsters from Greenhead eliminates the cost of middlemen and excess handling of your lobsters. This direct source allows you, the customer, to receive the freshest product with the longest shelf life.

Right next to our buying stations we have two tidal lobster pounds providing a natural environment for the lobsters. We can hold 150,000 pounds of live lobster in these pounds, which allows us to supply our customers with live lobster in times of harsh weather and weak supply.

To improve our distributions logistics we opened a tank room in Kittery, Maine, which holds 40,000 pounds. This facility is only an hour from Logan Airport and the distribution center of the Northeast. We have the capability to fulfill any commercial order with professional service and turnaround. We ship via truck, all major airlines, and FedEx. Greenhead ships lobsters nationwide, throughout Europe and the Far East.

Greenhead Lobster LLC is fully FDA HACCP compliant. Which includes the U.S Food & Drug administration's mandatory seafood HACCP Regulation (21 CFR part 123) and satisfies the
mandatory training requirements contained in (21 CFR part 123.10).

GreenHead Lobster also holds a valid CFN # 1226096 allowing us to pack lobsters for European Shipments.
